Avoidance

Have you ever been so scared of doing something that you completely avoid it?

I think I deserve an award for avoidance as of late. I have come up with every excuse possible and I have told anyone who will listen: I have to grocery shop, I have laundry to do, I need a break, I have to garden (p.s. I don’t garden, like at all). Fear is a real thing, especially when trying to navigate unknown territories. But I can now say that I learned a few things in this fear experience. 1) It’s OK to be scared. Everyone has those moments and you are never really alone. 2) Taking a break is also OK, but procrastinating is not. Keep pushing and always keep moving forward, even if it is only one step at a time. 3) Enjoy the journey. No matter what happens in the next few months, I will be in a position that I would never thought I would be in. Even if everything were to fall apart, I tried! And that is the only thing that matters.
